What makes a trade show display successful?

If 80% of life is just showing up, then the rest should be getting the details right. Companies at trade shows often believe that they're just being there is enough to get business. If your display & presentation are sloppy, then that is how you will be perceived.

Top tips are...

1. Keep your message simple & clear. Attendees will only absorb so much as they are passing, so convey only the most important bullets that will attract your customers.

2. Make the space inviting. Have a comfortable bar or pedestal that allows people to lean on it so they are grounded.

3. Provide something to take away that will advertise your company throughout the event. Give away items should be useful and include bold graphics. Have a good brochure.

4. Have your company logo, catch phrase, web site, & social media address visible so it can be seen at any distance.

5. Have a plan for your people to capture prospects. Their goal is to get appointments, not solve problems that they haven't seen yet.

6. Show a large video of your product or service that explains it in a minute or less.

7. Dress appropriately! The appearance of your representative is exactly what the public thinks they will get on a future call.

8. Smile!
